Impacting positively on lives by promoting social inclusion and well-being for people with disability

Panel of Creative Arts Therapists
(Art, Music, Dance Movement and Drama)

Áthas is a newly established Arts Therapy pilot project for people with disabilities in the midlands. Áthas is committed to providing a community driven, cross-disability, vibrant Arts Therapy programme whose partnership approach will promote an inclusive society throughout the region. It is envisaged that Áthas will be developed into a model of excellence and mainstreamed nationally.

We are now creating a panel of qualified Creative Arts Therapists who can deliver art, music, dance movement and drama therapy on a sessional basis or as their services are required.

We are interested in hearing from all qualified Art, Music and Drama therapists who would be available to work in the midlands area and especially those who have prior experience with, or an interest in working with disabled people.
We are looking for dedicated enthusiastic and organised people who are team players as well as motivated individuals and who enjoy striving for positive societal change, understanding and inclusion.

This Project is co-ordinated by MDA in conjunction with HSE, Laois County Council, DFI, Laois Sports Partnership, Midland Arts, MDASI, MESA, Laois VEC, Gandon Logistics, Sisters of Charity Jesus and Mary, IWA and NCBI.,
The project is funded under the Enhancing Disability Services Programme. Funds are provided by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and the programme is managed by Pobal.
