By Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) partners with Mountmellick Development Association to bring 3rd Level Education to Mountmellick and County Laois.
3rd Level Education is now more accessible to the people of Mountmellick and Laois through this partnership with the MDA Webmill Flexible Hub being designated as the location for online and distance learning to take place.
Along with this new partnership for delivering Life long and continuing professional development through TUS, the MDA has installed eduroam Wi-Fi into the Webmill Hub which allows 3rd level students access to all campus educational facilities for their chosen 3rd Level Institution.
Minister Sean Fleming TD, Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council Cllr Thomasina Connell, Mr Seadna O Ryan Head of Faculty TUS, Mr. Pat Dalton Chairman Board of MDA along with Paddy Buggy Centre Manager spoke of the importance of bringing 3rd level education to Mountmellick and Laois to aid in self-development, up skilling and for attracting Foreign Direct Investment into the County.
For those interested in remote study the MDA Webmill Hub has high speed broadband, is open for use in the evenings and at weekends, offers free parking, on site restaurant, warm offices and meeting rooms with free Tea/Coffee.
