Beale Centre for Business Excellence
Mountmellick Development Association Chairman Mr. Paul Dempsey welcomes the announcement by Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys TD about the results of the second round of the Regional Enterprise Development Fund, an open national competitive call to support regional projects, delivered for the Government through Enterprise Ireland. The MDA is both honoured and delighted to be one of the twenty-one successful applicants representing all regions of the country continued Mr. Dempsey.
Echoing Minister Humphrey’s words that the Regional Enterprise Development Fund is about supporting every region to build on its unique strengths and ultimately create sustainable jobs. With collaboration at its core – among the public and private sectors, within and across regions Mr. Dempsey stated that he and the Board of the MDA are looking forward to collaborating with so many great organisations to develop this initiative into providing sustainable jobs in Mountmellick, Laois and the Regions around Laois. Mr. Dempsey also took the opportunity to thank these same institutions for supporting our application.
MDA Manager Paddy Buggy outlined that the core of the Beale Centre for Business Excellence will be a state of the art facility which will be the physical location in which many state agencies, 3rd level institutions and service providers will work with people starting new and expanding existing businesses. The facility will provide the latest technology along with open plan co-working desks, office pods, meeting and teleconferencing rooms and state of the art commercial kitchens. The Beale Centre for Business Excellence is about providing the physical, intellectual and emotional infrastructure for business to flourish in County Laois.
Apart from a state of the art facility the Beale Centre will provide through its partnerships a high level of support for all levels of start-ups with a focus on job generation in the region.
